The FiberSIM® Advanced Composite Engineering Environment™ (ACEE) is specialized engineering software integrated into your existing CAD system that provides a flexible and productive environment for digitally defining composite products while automating many of the repetitive design, simulation and manufacturing tasks related to working with composite parts. The software easily accommodates the demands of designing a wide variety of composite parts and the complete range of materials and manufacturing processes used to create them.

The ACEE exploits the inherent advantages of many different composite design methodologies—including structure-based design, zone-based design and ply-based design—to enable efficient engineering of large, complex aerostructures, structural components, and highly contoured composite skins.

With the FiberSIM ACEE, engineers will be able to:

  • Define or import laminate specifications and requirements quickly using a zone-based design methodology;
  • Speed ply definition by generating zone transitions and ply boundaries dynamically using an offset profile;
  • Generate variable offset surfaces for increased manufacturing precision;
  • Use smart darting and splicing tools that eliminate the process of manually defining each dart and splice through the thickness of the laminate;
  • Ensure changes are propagated automatically throughout the design by maintaining full associativity with laminate specifications and zone boundaries.
