Streamlining the Manufacture of Seating Systems

The VISTAGY Seat Manufacturing Environment™ (SME) is specialized engineering software that gives seating and interiors engineers the ability to automatically generate drawings and process documentation for manufacturing seat systems, as well as exporting trim cover flat patterns for cutting. Using this application with the VISTAGY Seat Design Environment™, you can generate documentation including drawings, sewing instructions, process planning documents and bills of materials, all customizable to your company’s standards. These reports can be created in a number of different formats including Word and Excel, and can be shared using XML technology.

By automating documentation generation and information reporting processes for seat design, engineers can more efficiently and effectively share critical detail, ensuring that manufacturing teams have all they need to create a complex seating system based on specifications for comfort, safety and style.

With the Seat Manufacturing Environment, engineers will be able to:

• Automatically generate 2D drawings from detailed seating information captured by the Seat Design Environment in the 3D model;
• Export data in the Seat Design Environment directly to detailed reports such as bills of materials, sew routing reports and other process documents;
• Generate and share reports and manufacturing data downstream to ensure manufacturing engineers can produce seat systems based on requirements.

The VISTAGY Seat Design Environment is required to use the SME.
